Saturday 1st March to Saturday 19th April Beecroft Art Gallery Paddle Steamers on the Thames
The paintings, by local artist Derek Smoothy, are a
unique record of the vessels which were the mainstay of the Southend
tourist trade for many decades, and are here on show for the first time.
The
exhibition also features film of the steamers at Southend and objects on
loan from the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society in
Admission free.

The Warner Archive preserves the woven and printed soft furnishing fabrics produced by Warner & Sons and celebrates the work of the designers, weavers and printers who worked for the company .
Bloomin’ Marvellous!

natural environment has inspired and influenced 19th and 20th
century designers. The exhibition encompasses original works of art and
fabulous fabrics – be prepared for bold colours and stunning designs.
